Dear Friends, Here's what ten years impact from Holistic Planned Grazing looks like in a drylands, savanna region - northern Zimbabwe - at the Africa Centre For Holistic Management, a hub of the Savory Institute (that's me standing next to the tree in the 2014 photos). Anyone wanna guess which set of pictures represent land with better soil, more soil carbon and five times the cattle density? I continue to fail to understand how any of this is confusing or controversial. When you restore ruminant density - the way it's supposed to be - and move the animals in well planned herds - the way nature intended - you get rapid restoration of soil and plant ecology with increases in soil carbon and water retention. Does the anti-meat contingent really suggest we grow soy and peas here? Really? Please share widely. We need more logic in this discussion. The efficacy is obvious and has been for decades. - Seth
