Gabe Brown, author of Dirt to Soil: One Family’s Journey into Regenerative Agriculture, has used no synthetic fertilizer since 2007 on his profitable 5,000 acre farm and ranch.
Ray “The Soil Guy” Archuleta, a Certified Professional Soil Scientist, served as a soil educator for the USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) for over 30 years.
Gabe and Ray, both featured in the film Kiss the Ground (available on Netflix), are among the cofounders of Soil Health Academy and Understanding Ag.
Steve Apfelbaum is Founder and Chairman of Applied Ecological Services, Inc., one of the larger ecological-sciences and land restoration firms in the United States. Author of Nature’s Second Chance and co-author of Restoring Ecological Health to Your Land, Steve has written and peer-reviewed hundreds of technical studies, papers, books and reports, and contributed to over 9000 projects.
This conversation will be led by national soil health policy expert Aria McLauchlan, Co-founder and Executive Director of Land Core.
